Australian bowling leads; Also Indian batting : M Waugh

Mark Waugh has opined that the best bowling team is Australia and the best batting team India.

The best bowling exhibited so far is Australia. Their pace trio is dreaded and is getting enough wickets. On the other hand, Indian batting has asserted itself and is the best in the world, says M Waugh, the master batsman !

SA has a balanced attack with good seamers and good spinners. M Morkel and Steyn as fast bowlers and Tahir, Botha and Peterson as spinners form a powerful, balanced attack.

That SA are chokers was proved yesterday, as their formidable batting could not score 172 runs. They were bowled out for 165 by a resurgent England !

India will have to face NED and SA. India is aiming for the first two slots in Group B. Now they lead with five points. If they are furthur down in their Group, they will have to face strong rivals in QF, something which is not desirable. So they will play according to their maximum ability. India doesnt have to worry about the fifth bowler, with Yuvraj is such blistering form. India's problem is that on batting pitches, their bowlers cannot contain the opposition batsmen.

In the SL _ AUS match at Colombo, both teams were battling for supremacy. It would have been difficult to chase 250 plus on such a track and both teams need not be despondent that they had shared one point each.

The schedule of this WC is a bit longish and it has to be shortened. In order to expand the game, we have to include more teams. This opinion is voiced now, when the ICC is trying to trim down the number of teams to ten !
