Proteas will be finalists : Pollock

That SA will be finalists is a foregone conclusion. That issue can never be in doubt, according to ex SA captain, S Pollock.

He thinks that the era of Australian dominance is over, leaving the place wide open for mighty South Africa. Aussies instilled fear in the opposition. Warne, Gilchrist and Hayden and others created tension in the minds of the opponents. Australia has not found replacements for these stalwarts. Hence the chances of SA are bright.

India is under considerable tension as the host nation. Aussies have many problems and will miss M Hussey. Paki side is like the French Rugby team. He would have favoured the English, but there is something missing in them. NZ is never a threat. WI is so weak that they are simply making up the numbers. Who else can halt formidable SA ?

He said it is easy for SA to survive the group phase and " it needs only three great performances to become world champions". The semi final jinx will be broken ! With world class fast bowlers and batsmen in their side, it will be easy walk for SA !

"There is no other team to be afraid of."

"In previous tournaments Australia instilled fear in its opponents because of their domination. This time that is not the case. That is why South Africa have a good chance of returning as world champions."

He said the same team which defeated India 3-2 will be in action in the subcontinent. SA seems to be the only side confident of taking the Cup. G Smith said "We will lift the Cup".

The position of the heavens for RSA

Astrologically, even though Jupiter's second transit is favourable, SA will have to cross many a hurdle. Saturn's 8th transit is adverse. The 12th lord Moon's transit can be troublesome. SA has to be wary of the subcontinental teams, who can be dangerous on subcontinental tracks. Jupiter and the Moon in 6/8 positions from each other indicate sudden vicissitudes. Anyway, good luck, South Africa !
